This policy (art) brief has been produced jointly by the Foundation for Tolerance International (FTI) and members of the MAP Kyrgyzstan Youth Advisory Board (YAB), based on a series of interactive events that used artistic methods to facilitate conversations on issues relevant to young people as part of the Mobile Arts for Peace project. The primary aim of this initiative was to promote arts-based communication between young people and policymakers to address issues affecting the wellbeing of young people. This document highlights the usefulness of artistic methods in research to improve dialogue between adults and young people, and identifies barriers to intergenerational communication. Based on the findings of the project, it presents practical recommendations for organisations involved in youth work.
