
Following four performances in the first phase of the Magic of Theatre project (February – May 2023), three more performances were staged in mid 2024 by young people from the Vocational School 43 in Dzhany-Dzher and the Kyrgyz State Puppet Theatre in Bishkek, named after M. Zhangaziev.

“Dzhany Dzher Aitmatov”
On 9 February 2024, young people from Vocational School 43 in Dzhany-Dzher performed a play based on the works of Chinghiz Aitmatov- ‘Early Cranes’, ‘The First Teacher’, ‘The Mother Field’ and ‘The Red Apple’. The star performers were a group of 39 young artists, boys and girls, who had been participating in the MAP – Magic of Theatre project. The aim of the project was to use the art of theatre to emancipate children by unleashing their creativity.
“The Reluctant Doctor” & “Pinocchio”
On 3 February 2024, the Kyrgyz State Puppet Theatre in Bishkek, named after M. Zhangaziev, welcomed over 200 people to enjoy a special performance of the play “The Reluctant Doctor” by Jean-Baptiste Molière’s and “Pinocchio” by Alexei Tolstoy. The star performers were a group of 19 young artists, boys and girls, who had been participating in the MAP – Magic of Theatre project.
