Based in Butare, Huye Province, Rwanda, the Woman Cultural Centre (WCC) is an organisation that furthers the causes of women through cultural means. The WCC is home to Ingoma Nshya, the women drummers of Rwanda and to other cultural initiatives. MAP is partnering with the Woman Cultural Centre to explore the use of drumming to address gender inequalities, as the ingoma (drum) has been traditionally used solely by men.
