Production Day 1 for Film 1: Mental Health in Schools

On August 1 2023, the Visualising Peace project, ran a one day production workshop to plan and undertake filming for the video “Mental Health in Schools”.

MAP students cast the roles. This included a female student as the principle character (shown in the photo) performing her own story relating to mental health. Alongside her peers, she shared and helped storyboard the script during the workshop process.

The images show MAP students and Kwetu film production crew brainstorming storyboard and script ideas at a school in Kigali. They were taken by Tom Martin. The intention is that these films will be shared at an exhibition with key stakeholders in early 2024.

You can enjoy the final film here.

If you are interested in running a similar workshop please get in touch.
