MAP ‘Gathering’ International Conference 2022
EVENT DATE: 08/11/2022
The MAP ‘Gathering’ International Conference 2022 was hosted by the University of Lincoln from 8-11 November 2022, inviting MAP research partners, advisory board and study participants from Rwanda, Kyrgyzstan, Nepal and Indonesia. The conference gave an opportunity for MAP members and participants to come together in person to explore the MAP journey from Phase One (2020-2022) to Phase Two (2022-2024).
Day 1:
- Registration
- MAP Medium Grant: MAP methodology workshop
- Youth Advisory Board workshop
Day 2:
- Welcome! In-country teams lead a ‘Regional Exchange and/or Welcome’
- Journeys – Youth Participants share an object/ artefact and tell the story of their MAP journey
- Timeline/Graffiti Wall – Delegates ‘MAP’ milestones along the lifecycle of MAP to date
- MAP Medium Grant – Pathways to Impact
- Informing Curriculum Workshop
- Brainstorm concerning policy impact and policy change. Perceived challenges and opportunities that you’ve identified?
Day 3:
- Workshopp: Drama/Theatre, Visual Arts, Non-Violent Communication
- Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) using Art-based forms
- Discussion: Impact – intended and unintended outcomes
- Performance: Gakire Katese Odile (The Book of Life) and Nurlan Asanbekov (Sakhna Ethnographic Theatre)
Day 4:
- Informing Policy Workshop
- Workshop: Photovoice
- Onboarding and Phase Two Next Steps; YAB Next Steps
- University of Lincoln Reception and Exhibition
As MAP has reached the midway point of the project, the conference provides a timely opportunity to connect, reflect, learn and plan to best deliver the project for maximum service and impact.
